The CBI says the hourly adult rate of £5.52 makes the minimum wage the third highest in the world after France and Australia, and is hurting some firms.
£5.52 x 40hrs = £220.08

How the f**k do these scum sucking capitalist c***s have the cheek to f***ing complain about that!!!!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

So your capitalist heroes have mis-managed the economy. That's their fault, not ours. I fail to see why we should have to bail them out by allowing our pay and conditions deteriorate. Perhaps you should pull Leightons arse from around your ears.
what about the bonuses that have been "convientally " forgotten ? , plenty of restraint there eh? and concern for Gordon's economy , plenty of concern about getting snouts in the trough though I wonder what the competition's board members think of the gruesome twosome's salaries and bonuses , this is RM not Rothchilds or some City Bank ,though you'd be forgiven for thinking otherwise !

Do you mean the £43 million they paid out to the useless drones they refer to as managers?

And the £15m on plasma screen TV's. Yes, there's loads of money swilling about in Royal Mail. It's time some of it made its way into the hands of the people who do the work. i.e. the postmen and postwomen, instead of the shiny arsed parasites.

We/I aint like them!!!!
most of them have to stay hidden on that site so they can thank someone for a pro union post without their psuedyom showing in the thread . That's what struck me about that site -a obvious culture of fear .

There's been plenty of dissent about the Plasma Screens at all levels of the business - I think they were useless. Having seen the advertorial with the 'Union Stick In The Mud With 70's Hair' arguing with the 'Hip Younger Blue Shirt Who Supports The Share Scheme' almost made me fall over laughing. Whomever wrote that doesn't understand what people who work in the business really want.

It's done by PR people who RM pay to do :lfo "letters" though AL has input . That's the down-home Sam Walton style or it was until his plane crashed into a telegraph pole !. It's a Sebastian or Tarquin in red -rimmed glasses with a pony tail on his shiny Mac doing all this stuff . The best one was that "great fun to do quiz " glossy poster , that was aimed at the level of nine year olds in a public school.

Apparently there was IQ tests done on the US Army in The Great War and a fair number tested fell into the actual categories of Idiot, Cretin or Imbecille so basically most advertising/PR is aimed at a nine year old level.

The other thing is the American Influence from the early 90's in Management , everything was intended to be that simple that a beginner could understand it . The chinless overgrown public schoolboys in government didn't want people talking in the pubs & clubs, about say Poll Tax, so the media was dumbed down , pages and pages about Princess Diana for example . It still goes on now with the OK culture , keep Joe Public on a diet of X Factor or whether silly cow Britney has not put any knickers on etc .

Baroness Barmy said the Marxists get up @ 6am to spread the message so we must copy them , those Newspaper Barons wern't knighted for nothing.

With his Toniness or the Scottish Stalinist style PM there's a paronoia about 24hr media , Panorama has been dumbed down into a Watchdog style 1-2 hr programme . Can't go upsetting your New Lie-bour Paymasters .

I'm not surprised people were p*****g themselves laughing @ this contrived nonsense IMO

We've had strikes before and lost business before but won it back. Im a 28 year man approaching 55 and wanting out before they get rid of MTSF and make me work an extra FIVE f*ckin years for my pension!
I'd strike for as long as it takes on this one issue alone.
We let anybody, anywhere into our markets unlike the other major Countries in the EU who look after their own interests first. Im disgusted with Labour they're traitors to themselves.

looks like boggie knew what he was talking about all along.
everything that was opposed has been accepted by the numbnuts in union headquarters, and when people get their personal vote what are they going to do if 90,000 of you decide to vote against accepting the offer ???
absolutely nothing cos they were backs to the wall with nowhere to go before the strikes were called off, so now for plan b

PANIC.......

haha clowns in charge, clowns who follow paying union fees to someone then letting them shaft you.

the only people opposing change in our office are the 4 drivers who have cushty little packet duties but will soon have to have a bag on their crooked lazy backs - not before time !

Anyone who votes yes to this abysmal offer cannot be all there.

And we still have the ongoing pensions and D2D arguments still to come!!

What a mess!!
