Re: TALKING COLLEAGUES OUT OF CROSSING THE PICKET LINE
What thuggery and what a load of absolute tripe about the ineffectiveness of strike action. You only have to look back at the last few months to see successful strike action across multiple industries, such as the barristers, bus drivers and dock workers who all won hefty pay rises. You are typing nonsense redlen.

Really??
And what is the size of those employers compared to say the the Miners or Current Royal Mail staff?
The reality being most unionised employers are small entities with many individual private companies within that specific industry
Council Bin Men as an example are privately run by different companies, same with the train companies.

Re: TALKING COLLEAGUES OUT OF CROSSING THE PICKET LINE
What relevance does the size of an organisation have in relation to the successful outcome of strike action??

Re: TALKING COLLEAGUES OUT OF CROSSING THE PICKET LINE
We are sacrificing a lot fighting to save our colleagues jobs. If one of them wants to cross the line and undermine that fight, that's their choice.
If we want to lose respect for strike breakers, that's our choice.
No bullying, no abuse. Just don't expect respect.

I doubt anyone wants to break a strike nor expects anyone to respect them for doing so.
Would you expect a colleague to lose their house to support this strike?
I'm in a position where I can take the hit but I certainly won't look down on someone who is struggling.

That’s fair enough and I agree but if we lose this dispute God knows what will happen to us . The union said they are convinced there will be compulsory redundancies so people have to make up their own minds.

I agree. If the members were balloted for strike action now, it wouldn't hit 85%

Guys guys! it's fine! a bunch of people stood outside today and raised their hands, we got this!
Uhm, yeah, as much as the pressure on RM to agree a deal needs to be high, it's worth remembering that the pressure on the CWU leadership to agree a deal also needs to intensify.
Hand raising at this stage, ain't gonna cut it.
