My guess is that RM will add another app to the PDAs and everyone will be expected to book in their own docketed items

Automatic redelivery will take care of most of the items.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑14 Dec 2022, 07:08
So who will do them when the person who used to be in the callers is out on delivery?![]()
Being open for 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon will provide time for the rest.
If it doesn't then they will have to put in more resources.
I don't know how you think an App on the PDA is going to do the work of the CSP.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

The thread is about the CSPs being shut completely, they'll be gone. The items will still need booking in by someoneclashcityrocker wrote: ↑14 Dec 2022, 07:34Automatic redelivery will take care of most of the items.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑14 Dec 2022, 07:08

hang on a min.. what happens to 739’d items on rural where we scan them in as undelivered in SPDO’s?, (not that they’re SPDO’s anymore), but you get where I’m coming from?, are CSP’s in rural PO’s also being scrapped or have I missed something?

The items will not be getting booked in. 3 delivery attempts, then returned to sender.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑14 Dec 2022, 08:09The thread is about the CSPs being shut completely, they'll be gone. Those In our callers office wont be on delivery, that's why they're in there in the first place, unable to do a delivery due to illness or disabilitySpacePhoenix wrote: ↑14 Dec 2022, 07:08So who will do them when the person who used to be in the callers is out on delivery?clashcityrocker wrote: ↑13 Dec 2022, 07:57My gut feeling is your guess is way off the mark.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑12 Dec 2022, 19:57

What happens if the customer is away for a few days. Does it get returned to sender? If so that’s ridiculous.
Slider tool. Lol.

Why order something to be delivered to your home if you're going to be away for a few days?
That said, it seems that we are going to copy what other, low end, delivery companies are doing. I'm sure that some of our parcel customers specifically use RM because of our CSPs which mean that they don't get many parcels returned to them.

Some inkjet printers have an ink subscription service where the manufacturer automatically sends out new ink cartridges in the post.Schiff wrote: ↑14 Dec 2022, 12:24Why order something to be delivered to your home if you're going to be away for a few days?

Those type of companies will have to look at their subscription/delivery models and not just use RM to store customers orders if they are away?Zicomurphy wrote: ↑14 Dec 2022, 15:44Or contact lens subscriptions, gin club subscriptions, beauty box subscriptions and probably loads more.greengiant wrote: ↑14 Dec 2022, 13:52Some inkjet printers have an ink subscription service where the manufacturer automatically sends out new ink cartridges in the post.Schiff wrote: ↑14 Dec 2022, 12:24Why order something to be delivered to your home if you're going to be away for a few days?

If customers realise in future that their orders will be returned then they may actually decide to start selecting a safe place, as they rarely seem to do it at present, or better still actually make some effort to be in when we are due to deliver their orders.
