The best thing to do is vote and reject simons offer before the new strike dates , then the union can say look this is what the members have said about your offer.

It’s all over. Dave thinks him talking to some shareholders and politicians and hurting Simons feelings with a no confidence vote is the way to go. I’ve got news for Dave, politicians and big shareholders don’t give two f***s what you have to say.

I’m not paid 140k a year to come up with solutions. Dave Ward is and he’s failing us miserably. Ask anyone from BT and they will say the same. He’s a crap union leader.

Isn't their pay offer of 5 and a half percent what we balloted on strike action before,in fact its worse as not backdated, why the hell are we balloting again for the same thing,cancelling the 12th and 14th jeez we have totally lost momentum now,sometimes i wonder whether the CWU know we are going to lose so are looking for a get out clause to save their jobs and wages and blame us,or even taking a bung from Simon,don't no if i'll bother anymore think i'll just look for another job as this lot are selling us out .

If you are not on strike on those days 12th & 14th Nov' then you aren't going to be losing any pay? Do extra O/T/work your day off !!, as apparently managers are screaming for O/T cover!! (make it work for you & build some extra pay for the crucial days that really matter (i.e black Friday etc) This will have a more strategic impact

There will be a court injunction issued to halt black friday cyber monday strikes.
Just like there was on the xmas 2019 (maybe 2020) strike we had planned.
It’s big business for the UK economy and a court injunction WILL be granted.

this is a legal ballot. I/A has already been taken with the courts powerless to injunct. how can they stop it.

So we were supposed to have 15 days of functional strikes between tomorrow and 2nd December and 1 all out strike. Now we just have 3 all out strikes. This is a complete climb down, it’s like passing back to your own keeper when you have an open goal.

This climb down is at our most effective time of year to put pressure on, I’m afraid to say that the top levels of the union are incompetent and they need to go.

Just take that in, 16 days of strike action reduced to 3 days. Simon will be smashing one out tonight!

On the other hand I’ve been hearing the strikes aren’t working, we are wasting our time etc.The idea isn’t to keep striking for the sake of it , we need to vote on simons pathetic offer , reject it and target Black Friday / cyber Monday with the threat of Xmas strikes looming, these are our trump cards to force an agreement.

It looks very weak for the union to cancel the strikes. We dont need a ballot, this offer is worse than the first one which has already been rejected. Why would we sacrifice all that lost pay for a worse offer ? But if we do have a ballot, lets do it quickly, and if we accept, then we can obviously cancel the strikes. Now thompson only has to offer another insulting offer, before the new strikes , do we then cancel those strikes too, just to show we are being consistent?
