Couched in these terms it doesn't look like a no strike clause but in fact it is. Once the teeth have been pulled is the CWU going to gum RM into submission.
I would need to see what both party's idea of alternative is.
Royal Mail senior management must know that there is a limit to what we would accept as self-neutering and I don't think they would jeapordise the whole deal for a no strike deal.
As we've always said DV...it's the words in an agreement that count,not the spirit or overarching ambition.
