Im not sure if others are being unreasonable or I am.
What exactly did people think the deal was going to be?
Genuine question.
Most of us want more pay and less concessions and negotiating involves making concessions of our own or course but If you are going to concede as much as Ward and Furey have then you would expect a fantastic cash incentive and pay rise in line with it at the very least
Not this pretty pathetic offer on pay and a phantom profit sharing scheme
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next
I’m probably not going to vote not happy at all, but can’t keep battling the system. I’m afraid as this strike went on it became obvious it was as much about protection of the CWU in the workplace and not their members demands. Can’t knock our union rep at all I’m just afraid those at the top are too removed from reality!
Very very very well paid Union bosses running scared of losing their very very very well paid positions. How dare they f##k us over like this. Have they listened to nothing of the constant bullying and intimidation that postie's have been complaining about for years. Their answer, give the management even more power to make our lives even more miserable. Under this deal we don't even have a set finish time. It's commit to deliver dressed up. Agreed with the majority on here vote no, get these clown's out. A f##king record vote given to them and we get this shite.
Even though accept this is an internal disciplinary matter, why do I have the feeling those 200 plus reps and members currently dismissed or suspended are being thrown to the wolves? Be them accountable for their actions or not?
I’m not working 39hrs week during winter for 35 hrs pay do think I’m f***ing thick
??
You'll get paid your 39 hours, you just work less hours in the summer.
No
He will be paid his 37 hours in both summer and winter
I don't think so, they couldn't expect you to work more for the same pay. There must be a change to your basic hours on your payslip, so 39 winter, 37 spring/autumn/35 summer.

Else people would go short on cash in the winter.
That’s what seasonal variation is
You get the same base pay every week of the year but some months you will do two hours less a week and some months do two hours more

I'm happy to be corrected, but if that's true that's rubbish, I wouldn't dream of agreeing to that.
This is an absolutely dreadful deal. No wonder the union have spent all week thinking of ways to try and sell it as a 'win'.
If the pay was backdated and if the lump sum was £1500, it would still not be that good a deal, but at least it wouldn't be the almost total capitulation that it is.
The deal will get voted in I’m certain of that. Many will just as they and told and not many are up for fighting anymore.
From what I’ve worked out a full timer will be about £15 to £20 better off.
Not a prayer this gets voted through, scroll through social media or ask your colleagues at your DO, I'm yet to hear of one postie who is happy to vote yes on this.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
