"An issue of the Islamic State newsletter al Naba, published weeks after the Paris attacks, boasted in one section that “the Paris raid has caused the creation of a state of instability in European countries which will have long-term effects.” It listed these as “the weakening of European cohesion, including demands to repeal the Schengen Agreement … which permits free traveling in Europe without checkpoints”; “security measures [that] will cost them tens of millions of dollars”; and “mutual accusations between France and Belgium” over security failings.jetblack wrote: Now I know that that isn't quite as straightforward to get your head around as the idea that this is good vs evil - but I reckon its better to try to see things in the cold light of day, rather than through the veil of misinformation that is handed down to us by those that think they are more capable at making our decisions for us than we are.
The same newsletter section also stated that a “general state of unease” created by terrorism would lead to decreases in tourism and new restrictions on travel, costing already cash-strapped EU countries “tens of billions of dollars” in revenue.
Its all about causing havoc as much as they can in their "western front" part of their campaign whilst they try and put a stronghold on their base territory.
Its so simple you want to make it complicated looking back at origins, we have a group shouting from the rooftops its goals, celebrating its success, and you just want to say "nah, they dont want to do it for this reason it must be something else" Even point 6 in your post above points this out.
