Thats a cop-out of an answer, what do you propose?
I propose either the people being done out of an extra day off that week get it paid or added to annual leave, as per a bank holiday or they get a different day as a day off that week and it is covered by the extra staff that should be there right up till Christmas from there being an annual leave ban still in force.

If your day off is the Saturday that's it, you get the day off, if your day off is on the Monday you get the day off and a day back in lieu.
If your day off is not the Saturday you still get the day off, if your day off is not on the Monday you get the day off.
