I propose either the people being done out of an extra day off that week get it paid or added to annual leave, as per a bank holiday or they get a different day as a day off that week and it is covered by the extra staff that should be there right up till Christmas from there being an annual leave ban still in force.sorefeet17 wrote:Thats a cop-out of an answer, what do you propose?rambo1 wrote:It should make it fair EVERY time.Woody Guthrie wrote:The alternative and what used to happen was called claw back where the other 5/6ths would owe the business a day back.
So we either have the situation where 1\6th loses out one year but might gain next time or all of us lose out every time this happens.
So what should a union do?

If your day off is the Saturday that's it, you get the day off, if your day off is on the Monday you get the day off and a day back in lieu.Cluaran wrote:So what is the correct answer? Too many differing opinions put forward as fact.
If your day off is not the Saturday you still get the day off, if your day off is not on the Monday you get the day off.
