Saturday Special Delivery - one package has arrived, but not the other.

Exactly, absolutely nothing yet. I don't think they even know where it is and have lost a container of mail otherwise I'd of seen something. I'm starting to think it's never going to arrive, as it can't take over 38hrs to arrive at Tynneside from Heathrow. You'd think that Royal Mail would take better care of containers of mail, and know where they are - they say its dispatched from Heathrow to Tyneside, but that was at 1am on Sunday, and absolutely no updates on tracking within the internal system since. Escalations haven't been of much help either, and it surprises me they're not able to track a container of mail down, all they can tell me is it's been in transit to Tyneside since 1am on Sunday, and nothing else - which first line customer services are also able to tell me. How come it's so difficult for them to actually locate where the container is and give me updates? I'm not holding my breath that it will even arrive at Tyneside today/tonight, and certaintly not holding my breath it will be processed to be dispatched to my local sorting office ready to go out for delivery. They keep telling me "oh, it's defiantly not lost as its within the mail system" and remind me I can make a claim on the delivery costs as it did not meet it's deadline, I don't care about the money, I care about knowing where the package actually is, and if I am ever going to get it.

I give up, far as I am concerned Royal Mail has lost an entire container of customers mail. Just spoken to escalations once again, and they're still non the wiser after speaking to both Heathrow who told them that it's no longer on site and has 100% been dispatched to Tyneside, and they've spoken to Tyneside who've confirmed the container is not with them, and they've nothing outstanding in terms of everything they were expecting. The person in escalations, said that it could be received and processed during the late shift tonight, and to check around 10pm to see if there are any updates, and so I asked what if there wasn't and she said either way she'll be calling me tomorrow around 8am to give me any further updates. She stated with "their hand on their heart" they don't believe the container is lost with customers mail, and it's just been delayed and she's not able to tell me what could of caused the delay they said it could be many reasons, but they don't think its lost... Yeh right... they've lost a container with over 150 items of mail. I don't think for a single second now that I am ever going to get my mail, nor is anyone else who had mail contained in that container. I find it absolutely shocking Royal Mail aren't able to workout where their containers are after it's been dispatched, nor know if their vans have broken down, issues at airports or however else they get mail across the UK. Absolute piss poor service, won't be using anything that uses royal mail ever again to receive packages.
