My tracking number is not recognised?

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

RN3658 4040 068 is an incorrect format

Best guess is it should be RN365840400GB Thats tracking to Eire https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Your item, posted on 18/09/17 with reference RN365840400GB has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in EIRE.

My tracking number is not recognised?

Post by saundej »

Hi,

I've noticed that since the track and trace changes were made last week, any packages sent to me from Amazon are no longer tracking on the Royal Mail website (although show as delivered on my Amazon account). This seems to affect both older items (which I know used to track) and newer items .

For example a package with tracking ref : AX136648395GB shows as being delivered on 07/10 on my Amazon account, but comes up with "Tracking information is not available for this service" if I try to track it on the RM website.

Is there still a problem with the tracking functionality?

Many Thanks

Hello

I have been given a tracking number for a parcel, from a company I've used before with good tracking numbers, and when I enter it on Track and Trace I'm being told that the number isn't valid. Can anyone help?

The number is: FP940181420GB

Thanks

Deffo too many numbers there - it should be 2 letters 9 numbers and then GB at the end. Unless of course RM and the Postal union have changed the format but not told us. Not likely though.

Same issue right here. Just recieved a reference no. RP285231351GB from an online store, Consortium.Co.Uk, notifying me that my shoe I ordered has just been dispatched and is not in RM possession, however upon keying my ref. no. in to the track and trade service, it's saying that the system is unable to confirm the status of my item. What in the world is happening. Does anyone know why this is happening?

I think you need to double check that tracking number with the sender, it just doesn't look right to me (not sure why though)

Normally if a barcode fits the format but the code isn't active you get a return like the one above. But your number comes up with Barcode reference FR141769630GB is not valid

i have two tracking numbers but I am unable to track and trace two parcels of Christmas presents I sent to my son and his family in Hong Kong on 30 November so they have been in transit now for 20 days - all I know is that they got to Langley HRw on 2 and 3 Dec and were apparently on their way but they haven’t received the parcels and the Hong Kong postal website don’t recognise the tracking numbers

Can anyone help

It sounds a bit like they are stuck in customs in Hong Kong - but it is very difficult to tell unless you post the numbers on here.

All tracking numbers are two letters, then nine numbers, then two more letters. The one you posted is 3/8/2, you need to check it again.

I have attached a copy of the receipt and the barcode which reads FWP03815367GB. It went via Parcel force 14th December.

The above is correct for Royal Mail. Some Parcelforce barcodes are 4/7/2. If you change the fourth character of your tracking number from a zero to an O (for orange) you get some tracking that looks right for this item. Delivered on 19/12.
