Have them, and we will get paid for what we work, thats fair.

Any issues and the management can manually overide it, also if they feel someone is taking the p**s by taking longer to get more money, they can have a word.

.
No, No, No - if they feel someone is taking the p**s then they should test them.
If your doing a duty in an office that has had a revision, then supposedly all duties are deemed by the powers that be to be reasonably fair and equal (we all know thats never the case). So anyone getting back early on a regualr basis will have more put on them and anyone getting back on time will not - It's not rocket science - why rush around and then moan you have extra work to do.
Pepole slagging off those that drag their heels are the idiots imho. Why do you care what others are doing or not doing - oh yeah because your racing round, not using your trolley, not following loops and making loads of time so have been given more work. Meanwhile Lazy Larry si doing the job correctly and hasn't time for any more work as he finishes at the end of his duty time each day.

We have so many in our office which finish just after 2pm every day (without breaks) except Saturday when they finish at 12. The maths does doesn't fit but do the managers care?

We are on our second Revision and it is far from fair.
Some duties are just too big to complete, some where runners can finish 2+ hours early.
Some 9 day fortnights have less work than on 1 in fours. (1 in fours should always have less because they are shorter days)

Management does not care about fairness, They know full well the situation but let the runners home early because, on those easy jobs they do not cut off etc.
They then give grief to people that do the job properly when they cannot finish.

People would probably be more inclined to try DTN and less likely to make mistakes or injure themselves if they knew there was no point in rushing so there are pluses.

The runners are the guys that door step items, leave the engine running whilst delivering, peel recorded stickers off parcels, don't do vehicle checks drive like friggin idiots don't take their allotted meal breaks ,slot D2Ds into each other and basically give Royal Mail a bad name thats why there is so much hate for them!! :arrrghhh

So have we. We're on of the first vans back mon-fri, we work the exact same pace every day. On Saturdays most people's prep and delivery rate suddenly goes through the roof and most are back before us. I use this argument if anyone moans we have an easier duty than them, as well as pointing out lots of people are committing fraud by lying on the signing in sheets about their finish times on Saturdays.

They're just leaving themselves wide open by saying they can't do it, then on a Saturday proving they can.

And no, I couldn't give a sh*t if you have a football match to go to, you're paid the same as any other day.

Toatally agree. I had a grumpy duty holder continually moaning at me for getting back to the van too quick on the loops (I was only sitting there in the van waiting patiently with radio on and he had a right moan each time that I was working too fast). A few weeks later the same guy has a football game on and boasts to me the following Monday that he was home at 10:15 on the Saturday, but that he had done his back in because of literally sprinting around the delivery to do it. Total prat, in my opinion as I work at the same pace regardless, and I wished that I'd been paired with him that Saturday - that would've scuppered him and his silly football plans!

Sitting in the van waiting patiently ?
Has nobody explained how CDV duties work ?
Shared duties.
Please do not cut off and use the excuse that you were waiting in the van for your partner.

I'm guessing your loops are rather different to ours. It would have been a long walk for me to find him just so that we could walk back down the rd together. Sounds sweet, but he's not a conversationalist, unless you count pointless moaning and whinging.

Some of our loops finish within 30s seconds of each other or the other person can do a large packet if they are back first etc. Some include dead walking and the walker picks up their loops as they pass the van - so long as the driver is there first.
On the odd occasion when they don't match up it isn't worth it walking down to help out. By the time you get there, split the bundle in two and then both walk back the same distance you only save a few seconds - time you could have spent having a drink or tidying the packets etc.
