They have big adverts coming up assuring you if you don't get what you paid for you will be refunded.
They are very hard on the sellers.
In your case I don't think there would have been much hassle getting a refund.
But you have to know how to use the "Dispute Resolution Centre" or whatever they call it.
Well the thing that is quite amazing in this case is that although Ebay have twice agreed a refund they haven't honoured it. Also the seller sent a refund by Echeque but that didn't clear.

Paypal said they have closed the case as my credit card reversed the payment.

However my credit card company haven't been able to recover the funds from paypal so were attempting to charge me again (previously they reversed the payment so I didn't owe it).

It seems quite amazing to me but the credit card company sent me the printout from RM's site as being proof of delivery!

That is why the information I requested here is so important as it shows that the Delivery Office in question can't have delivered to my address (or even my postcode).

This has actually stopped me buying anything of value from Ebay after nearly 10 years of being registered with them. I have been scammed before from a highjacked account and scammed a couple more times but each time I received an automatic refund even if I had to wait sometimes.

But this is the first time that it looks like I could really completely lose a substantial amount of money.

Bear in mind the seller has no proof of postage, the picture in the listing was a library photo so no photos of the item, and there is no documentary proof, apart from a tracking number, that says anything was delivered. And what was delivered wasn't to my address.

This is quite extraordinary to say the least.

Also the seller doesn't provide his address when you check out.

Blimey how much more could he possibly cover up!
