It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I was working FT but got moved to PT and i have to commute 90 miles a day... Just can't afford it but RM is on my doorstep and somewhere i've always wanted to work...

My experience with HR is that they are slow and rubbish. I nearly lost a job offer because they apparantly sent me a text message (which I never received) asking me to call and accept the offer. I obviously didn't because I never got the text. It's by pure chance i decided to call and ask for an update on my interview.

so at this moment in time my application status is "Processing Security Checks" anyone know how long this can take?

Hi guys... sorry to keep bringing this up, just really quite excited at the prospect of starting a job as a postie.

Just checked my application on the website and the status says Security Checks Passed, what comes after this?
