exactly, i also thought managers couldn't mess with your contracted hours (duty or SA hours) as they do with your OT.ronpetetrevchris wrote:Just to add further confusion - if it is your S.A and not just overtime (as in your contracted) any change to that from RM's position should be arranged a month before. Honestly, this no OT when you return thing ive never heard of before.

FFS will you stop moaning about your SA, in the near future you won't be getting any so the little you get now should be taken as a bonus, some people really don;t have enough work to do that they are able to not only work OT but be able to work OT on their holidays.venore wrote:exactly, i also thought managers couldn't mess with your contracted hours (duty or SA hours) as they do with your OT.ronpetetrevchris wrote:Just to add further confusion - if it is your S.A and not just overtime (as in your contracted) any change to that from RM's position should be arranged a month before. ps. Why don't you come down to my office and do some work for a change and that way you'll not be complaining for 2 days about it.

Re: manager telling me not to turn up for my SA
If the Saturday consists solely of S/A, then YES, it does contravene The Way Forward. However: There is a "grey area" surrounding S/A before your shift, on the day you return to work. Technically, you shouldn't be able to perform it, as it's before you resume your basic hours. But in practice, I doubt you'd find a DOM pedantic enough to prevent you doing it, as it's on the same day you officially return from your leave.POSTMAN wrote:You are not allowed to WORK for the business if you are on holiday, period.Throgg wrote:Another grey area. What if someone comes back on the last day of their annual leave (i.e. coming in on the Sat when they're not due to start back until the Mon) and they get a day in lieu rather than overtime for the Sat, would you say that contravenes the Way Forward Agreement? As a rule regardless of what days you work,if you have a weeks holiday then you are not allowed to come in on docket or SA.
It's in the way forward.
