That's all down to whether he knew the dog was there and went in anyway, or whether the dog wasn't seen to be out before he entered the property. When I was bitten by a dog (within 3 weeks of starting with RM!), I wasn't on their property. I was next door, their dog escaped, bit me, went back into it's own garden. Luckily, I had a witness otherwise the owner wouldn't have believed me.

And never believe the nurse when they say it makes no difference which arm you receive your tetanus jab in. Make sure it's not in the arm you prep your mail with! I couldn't lift my arm higher than my shoulder for 3 days.

Anyhoo, back to my original question, what happened on the AOD to render it blameworthy?

From what I was told in a daily brief somebody fell and went sick, and a few days later (in the daily brief) that he would be down the conduct code for not following procedure ie phoning the manager so it would be classed as a work place accident.therefore i assume he did not follow the rules .

Well I know accidents have to be reported within a certain amount of time but that would be conduct not stage warning for sickness?

Yes it does, part day absence.
I assume it does not count if you return the next day and not stay off sick then :hmmmm
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

It is not ten days at all, absences are continuous and include weekends and public holidays and those days of the week not normally worked.

Example: (14 days sickness not the 'expected' 9 days)

Tuesday 06 - (Back injury)
Wednesday 07 (Day off - 1st full day with doctors note) 1 Day
Thursday 08 (Scheduled day off) 2 Days
Friday 09 3 Days
Saturday 10 4 Days
Sunday 11 (No scheduled attendance) 5 Days
Monday 12 6 Days
Tuesday 13 7 Days
Wednesday 14 8 Days
Thursday 15 9 Days
Friday 16 (Scheduled day off) 10 Days
Saturday 17 11 Days
Sunday 18 (No scheduled attendance) 12 Days
Monday 19 (Bank Holiday - non-working day) 13 Days
Tuesday 20 14 Days
Wednesday 21 (Return to work - First day back)

If you look at Thursday 08 for instance, since you were sick the day before it, (Wednesday 07), and the day after it, (Friday 09), it follows that on Thursday you were also sick. The same is true for the Sundays, Bank Hols etc.

(I suppose you could argue that on one of those intended non-working days you got better, then had a relapse. This however would result in you triggering two periods of absence instead of one and could prove more serious in the stage procedure mechanism.)

The blame worthy was given due to the fact that no obvious trip hazards were noticed, when the Dom inspected the area

So it's in HIS opinion that there were no trip hazards? What if the piece of thin air that the guy tripped over had moved after he tripped over it and it therefore wasn't in the way anymore?
