How many been told to phone confirmation of delivery using priority cards by 12.30? We are supposed to get team brief on Monday 22nd and this is what we are going to have to do, phone with numbers of SD,s (if you can get answer as PHG is usually out on cut-offs) and these will be confirmed by him as delivered, question is how am I going to phone? Use your mobile...GTF....Have to do it....What if SD is for end of Dely...Change your route to deliver SD and then finish dely...Like Fk... Why do we sell such a product if we cannot manage to do it properly???? :whistle

When you take half your walk back, or claim an hours overtime, just explain thats how long it took you to find a working phone. They really are taking the p*ss expecting us to ring in.

Our office has been told we have to ring and confirm our SD's, so at the last WTL we said we would only do this if RM gave us either a company sim card or cheap mobile phone, union rep backed us up too.
Not had a responce yet but this week all SD's have gone out with drivers :nana

We do 0730-1530,Mon -Fri now. If im not going to make a special,I tell the DOM.Most times he takes it in the van, when he drops my bags off.If he doesnt, thats tough. They WILL be late. Not bothered in the slightest anymore. :cuppa

the mail comes in no earlier or later on a sat in our office yet we start 5am on sat & 6am mon - fri ?
so can customers claim compo if specials delivered after 1pm ?
The guarantee doesn't include saturdays unless they have paid the extra money for saturday guaranteed, thats why when I was driving we were always told not to go out of our way to deliver 9am specials on saturdays unless it was SG. It's crazy really that anyone pays for SG becuase they all get delivered on a saturday anyway, I said to my DOM before that only SG specials should be delivered on saturdays and the rest held until the moday afterall some people are paying £2 extra for the same service. And everytime I've delivered a SD item after 1pm I have always told the person receiving it to tell the sender to claim the postage back becuase most don't realise they can.

We had an auditor in last week and one of the things he was checking up on why were our specials failing?.

We have now been told that our rurals have to get rid of their specials first even if that means doing the round backwards or deliver the mail in that area and then go off to the start of the round.
All well and good if there is only one special not if there are many dotted around the round.

What makes this laughable is we have just completed our driver assessments and the programme was emphatic that you should NEVER go off route as per your frame, also last year we had a drive on saving fuel and were also told then not to go off route even for specials!!!..

Is there anyone who knows what they are talking about    .

They were quick to change us to consignia yet ridiculously slow to make a tiny change to the 1pm claim on specials. I mean peeps just want it the next day anyway
