Re: BULLIES
Most people are blind to the various behaviour traits of a workplace bully. Not surprising, since a bully is an expert at distinguishing his/her bullying behaviours with more socially acceptable, and even admired qualities. But with a trained eye, you can identify behaviour traits that will reveal a bully. Often it will be a pattern of behaviour that tips you off rather than an isolated action. If you recognise a bully early, you will be better prepared to fight back before he/she inflicts too much damage on you and others.
A Bully's 12 Visible Behaviour Traits

2. Controls you
3. Highly ambitious
4. Overly confident
5. Strong-willed
6. Argumentative
7. Judgemental
8. Highly critical
9. Character assassin
10. Vengeful
11. Aggressive speech patterns
12. Aggressive body language

Re: BULLIES
It would also be useful, to get some professional Anger Management too. I know it sounds strange, for the victim to have to do this. But bullies often count on their victim loosing their temper. Because it gives them a chance to claim that they're the victim, not you. If you have help to control your anger, 'till it's all sorted out. Then their defence never materialises.brothermagrew wrote:A little venting at home and in private can do you good..........
Even though it is highly tempting to lose your temper and yell insults at a workplace bully, don't do it. You would be falling into a trap from which you may never recover. Nevertheless, you may need to vent some anger and frustration. Couple of exercises that can be practiced in the confines of your own home when you are alone and not within earshot of anyone else.
Short version to vent at a bully:
You're a backstabbing, condescending, conniving, manipulative son-of-a-bitch!
Long version to vent at a bully:
You're an abusive, backstabbing, blame-shifting, condescending, conniving, controlling, deceiving, double-crossing, egotistical, evasive, fault-finding, hateful, hypocritical, irrational, irritating, judgemental, lying, manipulative, nitpicking, paranoid, pretentious, pushy, sadistic, sarcastic, self-important, self-righteous, sneaky, two-faced, underhanded, unreasonable son-of-a-bitch!

I told the wife not to tell anybody - is nothing sacred these days - I thought what went on in the marriage bed was sacrosanct, almost like confession, three apologies and a bunch of flowers and all the shortcomings would be forgivendisgruntledpostie1 wrote:I'm afraid that he doesn't get that anymoreBELIAL wrote:I know ,just thought the "personal growth " bit might excite DvB
