Well if that’s the case everyone should just stop paying their subs then we can de unionise the company.guardianangel wrote: ↑26 Apr 2023, 05:48I dont know what office you work in but its a free for all now.Nickvilla20 wrote: ↑25 Apr 2023, 17:06I’m really not sure what people actually expected out of this deal. It’s was obvious from the start later start time where incoming and we were never getting an inflation matching pay rise.timbo1234 wrote: ↑25 Apr 2023, 16:54The CWU have negotiated what it thinks is the best deal that it can get. They have been privvy to RM financial information that we as members have not. Yes RM have outmanouvered the CWU at every turn but do you really think the CWU would deliberately stitch us up just to save their own jobs? I don't.guardianangel wrote: ↑25 Apr 2023, 15:29The union are trying to save their own pathetic existence rather than protecting our interests, what they must understand protecting our interests will protect them, without us there is no union.
Reading through the deal and I agree it not great but it also isn’t as bad as some are making out.
I think the union have done their best while having one armed tied behind their back by anti trade union laws, the companies financial position and the economy in general.
Personally I would rather have the union still represent us in the workplace. If they aren’t there then it will be a free for all.
I mean if we aren’t getting any value for money we may as well stop paying.
