How did you get a full-time contract? We've had people waiting 5 years for a FT contract.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Might be wrong here, but if you've been sick a few times during the past year, has your probation period been extended? Maybe thats why things have gone the shape of a pair. Hope things get sorted for you, and if the worst comes to the worst, Good luck in the future, whatever you do.

the reason you were dismissed I guess was because you had full time status. If you were an AG you would not have been dismissed. How you are a full timer after only a year is quite rare.Must have a very high turnover of staff in your office.

All the best and like others have said get representation from the union.

I go full time after 10 months. To do it though I had to take a barsteward of a walk, all hills and steps and in a council estate, did not think I would get it but I did.
