Well i must admit to not liking it, been moved off duties that i was doing on the last two repicks, as i was getting back on time and making the round look easy then others picked it funny thing is now that the section that it's in can't do it i laugh! one of em came back at 6-45pm on a 6-2 duty! nowt said!
Only thing is i cannot come up with a better system that is not open to abuse!
another thing is we have had a few transfers into the office and as it's a small office, there seniority is more, this has an effect because all the people that are part timers trying to get more hours are been overlooked and still get the same crap!
Don't you think that management like seniority? as i think it's a way of them not being the target of any legal action in regard of overlooking people constantly and thus drawing some form of lawsuit
i asked the DUM about transfers and he said "if there is a vacancy i have to offer it to the transfer list first"
can anyone confirm that is what is supposed to happen?

The office I work in is already a quagmire of favouritism and nepotism (no I don`t have any relations employed at my office) god only knows what it would be like if the management were allowed to dole out the jobs. I`ve worked in industries where suitability applies and also where seniority applies and will admit that both systems are far from perfect but as a lesser evil, seniority wins hands down. The one constant about seniority that I have found over the years is that the only people who moan about it are the one`s who haven`t got any.

RM "A Family Run Firm "
The Ironic thing is that it can get worse with "suitability " , they won't even try to make it look straight , Area Manager's Wife becomes Personnel Manager , mistresses /girlfriends / sons -in -law , it just descends into High Farce and even more corruption and overworked union reps/officials .kevmorg wrote:The office I work in is already a quagmire of favouritism and nepotism (no I don`t have any relations employed at my office) god only knows what it would be like if the management were allowed to dole out the jobs.
