Should the union have had MC Distribution out on separate days from MC Processing?

Indeed, the goodwill that we normally show at that time of year should be well and truly extinguished.

For me, the announced 19 strike days don't come early enough.

Only 3 individual strike days in a period of 32 days between October and November will have zero effect on anything. Won't even cause a ripple. The public won't even notice. It just kicks the can down the road for another month.

I can sidestep four of those days due to them being my rest days or falling on my week off, but very senior people in my office have fixed Saturdays off and tend to book their leave in the Summer, the week after Xmas and end of March. they're going to be fuming.

Selfish flappy pr**s who screw over their fellow workers. We have about a dozen of them in our office and you just can’t get it into their skulls what damage they are causing. Put them all in the bin.

Is it true about CWU refusing to take the ACAS route, or is that just more RM lies? If true that won’t look good on the union.

Have a word then. They’re obviously too thick to see the bigger picture, so explain it very simply to them.

Only this Saturday coming the 1st of October, after that there is no more planned daytime strike action for any Saturday or Sunday.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Royal Mail Group CEO Simon Thompson has responded to CWU General Secretary Dave Ward’s letter offering talks. A meeting will now take place tomorrow. Dave Ward and Andy Furey will attend on behalf of the CWU.

We will of course update you on all developments but reps and members should continue preparations for strike action on Friday and Saturday #StandByYourPost
