National Trust Magazines today

Post by Phantom »

I had around 60-70 of these extremely heavy items today. Now in all the 15 years service, we have always had 2 days to deliver them EXCEPT today! So after a mass argument with the assistant manager, no dom on site - day off. This little hitler decides they must all go today. I said they weigh a ton, theres snow on the ground and i'm going to have dead walk to and from bag drops wasting time. This was not good enough so I said I would work to my time and he ended up doing a bag mail, stupid fool!!! Haha.

I went in on monday and stuck my door to doors in every slot, thinking I'll get about 3/4 done in one day, then we got some council letters which went to EVERY house, but I decided to do my door to doors anyway, then we get those National Trust mags, two days to do them , but I say what the heck, I did them all aswell! Really hard day monday, but rest of week was easy! Well apart from heavy sleet on friday, which soaked everything. Can't believe those bags aren't waterproof. When I got in I was over the moon that my own mail was soaked. It shows it's not just me that can't keep anything dry.

Does it matter if they came in late!!

You are a postman not a Donkey, and as for the National Trust putting an extra, smaller paperback book in with the magazine, don't they understand that these items don't bend for a letter box.

Your local DUM won't understand that Saga, National Trust, Holiday Brochures are a work hazzard :lfo

We had this problem a week or so ago and the cockie manager came along and she said we had to do them all on the same day so we said ok we also said that we was only working to our time she still persisted with the you got to take them all so we all worked until our time and it ended up with the S/A staff taking all these deliverys out that had come back.Silly mare she always thinks she knows best how wrong she is most of the time.
