Cheers.
I'll see if my entitlement changes after the funeral.
Thanks for help everyone.

Not showing up on my leave next Monday as a bank holiday probably takes a bit of time to add the day back?.

Your BH entitlement is 3/5 of our entitlement (normally 8 days).
This works out at 4.8 days.
As we have 9 this year it should be 5.4 days.
10? (8 + Jubilee and Funeral)

That makes no sense to me. According to the times given there if you work nights you must attend for duty Sunday night but not attend Monday night. How can that be the case when the funeral is Monday? And that isn’t the same as Christmas Day or any other Bank holiday Monday at all.

And neither is the fact that they appear to be offering only an extra leave day if it's your day off, no mention of the option of pay or another day off that week.

It appears to be neither one thing nor the other but some kind of fudge between a non service day and a bank holiday.

It may just be poorly written but I'm suspicious they've decided to call it a non service day.

Post Office LTB-awaiting ours...
A day off in lieu can be added to annual leave or moved to another convenient time (such as the following week if operationally possible)
Alternatively, overtime can be claimed at the normal rate (1/5th of weekly contractual hours). For a full-timer this would be 7 hours.
We would encourage a conversation to be held in regard to the above arrangements to ensure everyone is able to pick the option that best suits them.

RM Communications are being obtuse...

forgive me if misreading but does this answer your question? Employees not scheduled to attend work on September 19th due to it being their rest day or planned annual leave will receive an average attendance credit in line with standard Bank Holiday credit arrangements to be taken at an agreed alternative time.

The position I'm getting today is that it's a non service day not a bank holiday so they can basically make up the rules as they go along.

It has been escalated to divi level.

Does anyone really know if people will be credited if the Queens Funeral falls on their day off or on annual leave?

Those on rest day Monday at ours have been offered the normal agreed bank holiday choice between a day in lieu or being paid for it.
