It may be a business decision but does this decision comply with OFCOM's rules of delivering to every address 6 days a week???

It's hard to believe that with the pressure the posties are being placed under, these daily failures are not being reported to OFCOM by the union.

on 2 P/L rounds we are just flip flopping mail
One double mail on one frame and the other frame the next day.
Still lapsing 6 frames out of 25 rounds so you only have 2 and a half hours on your own round plus tracked to take on your failed round
waste of time taking it all out but DOM then says its clear ;liar

You would have thought that the CWU would have been all over this, especially as part of their mantra is to protect jobs.

Can anyone direct me to the latest rules around streaming mail please. As in being told to take only where you are going. Thanks
Probably isn’t any hard or fast rule (other than deliver everything).

But if you do get one of those horrible circular things - say City Fibre or Postcode Lottery - the common sense thing to do would be to deliver them with other mail, leaving singles behind initially, to then be cleared over the following days.

As mentioned however - probably not official verified practice!

Happens up and down the country.
Due to unachievable workloads.
Make sure to take your lapsing, though.
You know the rest.

If a manager insists on you streaming mail, cover your ass, get the manager to put the instruction in writing

Don't know if they are or not. Cover up going on by the business for sure though.

But really...what kind of service is this to the public . Its shocking at best. We are supposed to be a public service, but may as well have one hand tied behind our backs. Its a disgrace and its coming from the top.
