Why would you phone in sick? Tomorrow your DO will probably start to feel the effects of last weeks Strike (in the pipeline) plus the Bank Holiday weekend. I'd be surprised if there's very much mail at all.

Go in have an easy day and then Strike again on the Wednesday, if your lucky your Rest Day may slot in well. :cuppa

Guess you guys phoning in sick got it right. We had a pretty Heavy Day (although light on Parcels) still had a load of mail going to at least 75% of DPs. Had to book Pressure OT. Funny that consider the mail's dropping! ;liar

How do you stand on getting paid for Sick Abscence? I thought RM had put a Freeze on it during the IA? :cuppa

Been informed this Morning that OT will be payed to ALL employees who wish to do so..this is after we were told last Tuesday that this would not be the case if you were to participate in any strike action…

Suits Simon fine. Save the daily basic hours payments to 100,000 people, pay a bit of overtime to clear the backlog. No effect to the mail whatsoever. Royal Mail will play that game indefinitely

It wasn't to Clear any Strike Baglog is was just busy after the Bank Holiday Weekend was my understanding. So "Business as Usual"... Mind you they haven't paid it yet! :cuppa
