I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Each question from your DOM should have the same answer from you

That way you can't incriminate yourself and your DOM can't try and twist anything you would have said to his advantage

bit corporate? , you'll learn the hard way what they & Royal Mail are really like .RM are very cute @ twisting things , no matter how obscure or vague .

DUM's are Leighton's Mouthpieces , he has them in every 2 months , for two years he did his upmost to turn them and "our people" against the CWU , like something out of Nuremborg Rallies those DIM meetings apparently .

I can only base my suggestion on personal experience. Having had a 1 to 1 with my DOM for a "helping to get you back to work interview", my DOM lied about what was said at that interview to other managers in our office.

I don't see how protecting yourself from lying DOMs makes you sad. Please enlighten me, oh wise one.

Yes I have. I know I'm going to get the you've opnly been there two minutes you know f*** all malarky but if your going to be like that with them, eg NO COMMENT surely people must wonder why DOM's 'pick' on them or get on better with other people. It's common sense. Again I don't know the individual person or the situation and forgive me if it is actually like living in a police station.

Mine is great, line manager sound as a pound. I might be lucky as our office (which I'm not naming) as iy's very laid back to what I've seen on here. This site actually put me off and I was bricking it but I love it. People just get on with it and have a laugh it's as simple as that.

It's not all doom and gloom, and good to hear you've got a good office.
Personally mine is not too bad either, office or Managers, outside influences with higher up Management are not helping and have not helped at times.
But previous Managers have been a night mare.
We talk to our DOM and Lino a lot and they are as frustrated as us with certain things going on.
I don't think we'll be having the 1 to 1's down our way anyway.

I'm book marking this thread for future reference btw
