Bottled in what sense? The whole purpose of the process is to get a negotiated settlement. If one can be achieved what’s been “bottled”?

The strike is on ! The union resolve could not be stronger. This kind of gossip is just scaremongering and aimed at causing division.

Your either with the CWU or your with Royal Mail there is no other fence to sit on. The stakes could not be higher.

And that it has been “planned”

The only bottling I would like is from RM and to cave in and offer us something worth accepting but it’s a pipe dream Onwards to the picket lines !!!

Our large office is united to strike, but we are also united in wondering why we aren't starting with a multiple days in a row strike. The amount of mail and parcels that have been advanced into our office Mon-Thurs was huge.

It could be called off even now, they have been called off previously at short notice, the difference between now and then, they were talking, today they are not.

Royal Mail will see how much support the strike gets before making there decisions if little support they will walk all over us strong support and might just get them to rethink or at the least to the negotiating table we shall see tomorrow

If I recall correctly, the last strikes in 2009 were called off around midnight on Thursday 5th November and we went in for a normal day on Friday, never to strike again until tomorrow... As things stand.

Midnight? Well I for one will be in the land of nod by then, and fully intend a lie-in before heading down to the picket line..
