I'd be upset if we didn't get at least 10% payrise,a 4 on 3 off full time and a 3 on 4 off part time,i would give into Sunday working no enhancements but would expect the pay offer to be at least 15% to 20%,definitely no to later starts and will throw my Union subscription straight in the bin if we give in to anything on sick pay.

im plus 55 for me personally a decent redundancy package would be enough for me to leave tomorrow and then they could take on a younger guy with a new contract and abuse him straight away.

Most people in my office are more worried about the proposed late starts and anualised hours than about the pay
well yeah as well as a half decent pay rise is important,rm is taking away the only last bit of incentive from us being the early ish finish times.now we’ll have to deal with rush hour traffic both ways.

I'd except good redundancy terms, anyone on an old contract should be offered VR then they could get more people on new contracts,£25k and i'll go tomorrow.

11% + now at least, and a new requirement, Simon Thompsons sacking would have to be mandatory. :nana

Pay off everyone at the company who has more than 2 years service. Ranging from £25k to £100k depending on amount of years worked....

then you can employ new people on the minimum wage, working in their own vans having to pay their own fuel costs, no pensions, no extra payments for door2doors, work place coaches etc etc. Turn the business into parcels only - dumping letters, then you can sell off any premises owned and buy/rent smaller depots....

In the meantime the government will need a national letter delivery service which I am sure many ex Royal Mail workers will go to.

The high inflation isn't predicted to last for more than a year or so.

Any pay rise is permanent and will compound over the years.

If we have deflation at 10% in 5 years time would you accept a 10% pay cut?

Some of your "demands" on here are just crazy

The problem is we get well over £13 an hour when you include the delivery supplement, those at the top don’t like unskilled workers on that money. But it’s a very tiring and demanding job, so all we ask for is a decent rise, especially considering the vast amounts paid out to shareholders and hierarchy.

I’d settle for never being called ‘Team’ again.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

That’s cute. They don’t like people on £13 an hour ? Well I don’t like useless fat cat CEO’s and financial “officers” on millions a year.

Sounds wonderful until you do a few calculations!

115,000 workforce. Even if only 2/3rds or 66,000 (which I feel is very generous) have been here longer than 2 years and they all take the lower amount of £25k that’s £19 billion!

I don't like Simon earning £364 an hour!
