Well they are succeeding, we have had more long time full timers leave in the last 6 months than in the last 10 years. Everyone I know is so down and fed up. I’ve never known anything like this. I’ve even heard people say I don’t care, they can sack me if they want. Very sad times when an employer can wear you down to this level. I think it’s too late to get the morale of these people back to the level it once was. Good honest workers are broken and many are looking for new jobs. RM have shot themselves in the foot. To get a good level of work from employees they need to be treated well with rewards and respect. You will never get people willing to run around up and down hills and steps for 5 hours a day covering 8 miles minimum day in day out in all weathers for this level of pay.

Many jobs with a lot less responsibility which are a lot less physical are paying near the same or even more. Posties are going home completely knackered and many I know have ligament trouble, back problems, swollen knees, mental health issues and the list goes on. We don’t even have facilities for a hot meal or hot drink in the cold winters days approaching. No canteen, no clean kitchen facilities, it’s a disgrace, My friend has just been successful in a new job and the employer told him to get a gym membership on us as they like to look after their staff. He was told to get to the opticians and if he needs glasses they will pay because the job involves reading and a bit of driving. His boss told him we look after our staff because then they look after us. RM please take note?
