7-8% no strings and then time off the week for “change”. No the change they want but change they sit down and work out with the cwu.

Are you taking the piss?

Simon has all ready seen it and people are asking him if he's seen it as though that there poll reflects what the majority of the workforce want.

Everyone knows that RMC's polls are the industry standard-workplace poll-pfft

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

This a poll on Workplace. People voting saying they’d be happy with a no strings 5.5% pay deal. CWU fighting for an inflation based pay rise. This is what we are up against.

Imagine Dave and Terry battling it out in the board room for a decent inflation based pay deal and Simon pulls this s**t out and says well, these morons happy with 5.5% so f**k your inflation based pay deal.

7%, now.

Later starts.
Very minor sick policy changes.
Legacy allowances gone.
4 Sundays a year.

I'd take that.

Annualised hours must go, or we will end Royal Mail.

Problem is four Sundays a year it won’t stay for long, as the demand increases for Sunday deliveries they’ll just want more and more…

Also if we concede Sundays at all it needs to be voluntary only and there will be plenty because RM will be paying fat wages on those days.

According to our area rep there's not enough volunteers for Sundays now!

Good luck getting a contract that explicitly states 4 Sundays a year only.

Whatever (finally) gets agreed in this current dispute will probably only last for ONE year!

Obviously not all, but some of the changes that Super Si and his "Upper Team" currently want will be agreed by the CWU to settle the current dispute, in return for more pay. That is why they're called "negotiations" - give and take on both sides.

But, when it comes to 2023's pay claim, all of what DIDN'T get implemented in 2022 will be back on the table, and a little more will be conceded in return for a little more pay, and so it goes on.

You have only got to look at what has been given up in past years in return for a pay increase and slighter shorter working week - D2D payments/Night Duty Allowance/Saturday Premiums/Van Driving Allowance/job and finish/PHG and extra allowance/Training Allowance/Later starts/Later Saturdays/Bigger and longer walks,...

Just saying it how it is, with this company you can, and never will, see a light at the end of the tunnel.
