For Deliveries, currently around 1.5% of Parcelforce parcels are delivered by Royal Mail.
These parcels are for delivery in our more rural areas of the UK, i.e. mid-Wales, the
Scottish Highlands and Isle of Wight, and we are looking to explore how much more rural
delivery workload Royal Mail could efficiently deliver on behalf of Parcelforce.
We will also be looking at providing opportunities for Parcelforce depots to form a
number of the 350 dedicated parcel hubs. As well as reviewing any existing Royal Mail
contracts that are better suited to our Parcelforce network.
