From M.C. experience.......
........all the managers are part time.
Barely any of them show any managerial talent or people skills.
Most of these constant coffee break tossers are failed employees.
R.M. is overstaffed with these deadlegs. Many openly show their lack of basic experience in umpteen ways.
Shuffling staff regularly for no reason is their way of playing M.C. chess in the workplace .
Others delight in championing the cause of Health and Safety issues obsessively even though a previous WTL session stipulated that an employees work area was their H&S responsibility.

That's the company we work for, comrades...............A company that now blatantly advertises it's contempt for it's employees, in other words, theLounge Lizard wrote:"Our part-time management roles let you spend more time with the people that matter"
successful moron will spend less time with the people that don't matter, us.

summer
its now time to hit the management gravy train.as they are pushing for more savings in the 2008/9 financial year you will have to query the efficiency of the managment structure.in our d.o we seem to have recruited more managers so they could absorb the extra duties during summer.we all work for royal mail so any savings they make benefit us all.
if summer savings work the downside is that there wil be a surplus of staff in the winter months
as job losses havent been mentioned we should perhaps beware of this.

Just a thought about mangement, we have about 170 odd staff in our DO, and 1 office manager, 4 line managers and wait for it..... 2 management support!!! what the f*"k is that meant to be, must be costing a pretty penny I say.
So each line man. is responsible for 42 ish staff but when you want to find the feckers they are shall we say brushing up on their coffee skills, meanwile the man. supports get walking o/t driving o/t before anyone else is asked so thyey can do the summer staff shortage for all I care, oh and one of them "worked " during the strike and he,s a union member.... is there not a word for them?
Let us know how mant managers in your DO..MC..etc and I will e-mail Big Al and show him were he can make some savings.......
