PENSION REFORM
We met Royal Mail on Friday 25th January to discuss all the issues surrounding the company’s pension proposals.
During the meeting Royal Mail confirmed they were prepared to put back the date for closing the Pension Scheme to new entrants until the end of February 2008. This was to allow further discussions with the Union.
Further meetings with the company are now being arranged and a date for a National Briefing on pensions will be announced soon.
