Strikes in the past 20 or so years

Does anyone have / point me in the direction of a list of strikes that have actually happened in the last 20 years or so?

Ideally I’m looking for a very brief description of why, when it happened and how many days the strike lasted.

Are you asking about all strikes, or strikes in Royal Mail?

Try typing something like "what have strikes achieved" or "UK strikes history" or similar into Google search and it comes up with a few results, haven't waded through them but looks like there'll be some relevant info to what you're looking for.

1996 Employee Agenda Dispute which stopped this and led to WAY forward Agreement
2003 London Weighting when the national membership union voted no. Led to the biggest unofficial dispute since the miners led to the settlement on moving from 2 deliveries to one and the introduction of 5 day or less working for deliveries and a pay rise of £26.26
2007 Pay and Mod - 8 days of strike action to stop Leighton and Crozier strings
2009 Local disputes resulting into two one day national strike action which led to BT2010 Agreement

I was on a few wild cat strikes between the official ones listed here as well but we gained more by sticking together than on our own but we did stop one guy losing his job for refusing to touch work handled by strike breakers. Was never going to end well for him till we all stood together and it worked lost 4 days pay for that one.

the one in 1996, we were out for 18 days if i remember rightly. can anyone remember it? i never had a pot to piss in until we went back, but hell, the overtime was fantastic, nightshifts in the D.O. then out all day delivering it. made a bloody fortune.

So on the subject of strikes why are we striking at the end of august it’s so quite, we’re not going to be carrying on this strike till Christmas which would of really made them listen

I think we will be out on strike till October/November before we will see Rm
Enter proper meaningful talks sadly.
