RESIDENTS of one of England's largest villages were delighted when their local Post Office re-opened last week after closing down more than a year ago.
The much-missed Post Office has been brought back by Haddenham Superstore owner Rajesh Patel and his family, much to the relief of the villagers.
With a large elderly contingent in what is recognised as one of England's biggest villages behind Kidlington, the Post Office has been a sorely missed convenience.
People in their 80s have been forced to make often difficult trips to Aylesbury or Thame just for day-to-day services which Haddenham Superstore's Post Office will now once again provide.
The already popular Patel family have seen their stock rise even further now and BHTV caught up with some happy locals as well as Mr Patel himself to get their views when the Post Office officially re-opened on Friday.
