THESE postmen will be first-class males when they do the Full Monty to help raise funds for meningitis victim Tilly Lockey.

They are usually more at home pounding the streets delivering letters.

But now they are going to strut their stuff on the dance floor as they put their post bags to one side and turn themselves into a saucy strip act.

The six, all employees at the sorting office in Heaton, Newcastle, are preparing their own version of the Full Monty.

And they will take to the stage in front of more than 300 woman in aid of little Tilly, who last year had both hands amputated at the wrist and lost all her toes in a desperate bid to beat the killer bug.

The stunt is the brainchild of Tony Gibson, 45, of Walker.

He said: “None of us have ever done anything like this before so at first the idea was quite nerve-wracking, but now we all love it and can’t wait for the big night.

“We don’t really know what to expect.

“I came up with the idea when my wife, Julie, said she wanted to have a fundraising night for Tilly after reading about her battle against meningitis.â€
