Royal Mail doesn't value its employees though.

Re: Tesco 9.5% pay rise
Tesco reported retail adjusted operating profit of 2.65 billion pounds ($3.45 billion) for the year to Feb. 28, up 36% and in line with guidance. It sees profit of between 2.4 billion pounds and 2.6 billion pounds for 2022-23.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

That’s only the clubcard pay rise.

Re: Tesco 9.5% pay rise
Nothing wrong with that but you have to question why our dictators in the boardroom deem it fit to impose 2% and demand impose change? This can and will only lead to conflict by strike action or otherwise, The otherwise is disengagement once you go down this path anything you say as a business is not taken well especially f***ing peoples lives up just be cause you can!

Re: Tesco 9.5% pay rise
That's to pay for the pay rise and the extra money everything is costing them too. That's how a price wage spiral works. In the end nobody is actually better off. Get paid 8% more, shopping costs 8% more. Meanwhile people that aren't getting 8% more disposable income are 8% worse off.daveyeff wrote: ↑05 Aug 2022, 17:40and still they increase their prices on everything. pure greed.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑05 Aug 2022, 14:31Tesco reported retail adjusted operating profit of 2.65 billion pounds ($3.45 billion) for the year to Feb. 28, up 36% and in line with guidance. Re: Tesco 9.5% pay rise
Would that help them grow some balls and strike to gain what others and the few at the top getting 20% plus and bonuses on top and probably claim their income has not kept pace with inflation even on millions of £ pounds. But that is what you get with investment capitalists and people from the university of Oxford and who are deaf to the concerns of ordinary people!rambo1 wrote: ↑21 Aug 2022, 21:14That's to pay for the pay rise and the extra money everything is costing them too. Re: Tesco 9.5% pay rise
5% is more than 2% so go factor that in for us all.
