Re: UK Recession forecast and 13% inflation
My opinion is everyone has to be knuckling down on their finances very hard. Any debt needs to be addressed as further interest rate increases will hurt. Moneysavingexpert is a great place for help.
We won't get any meaningful pay rise that will see people safe from inflation. I'm of the opinion the erossion of T&Cs is the most concerning bit.

Re: UK Recession forecast and 13% inflation
Shows how BREXIT and COVID-19 and A WAR in the Ukraine perfect storm but anyone could foresee the labour shortage of foreign workers and the fact that we cannot get workers. This sad situation has led to this and it has now become a war in this land of the haves and the have-nots and the war against the working class being told our place by etonian elite and oxford oligarchs. But who was asleep on duty to not see this was it another red bus with £350 million with the NHS on it an elephant in the room with party's while we could not leave our own homes? Who knows but only one political party has governed this nation since 2008 and has caused all this let us not forget this the blood is on their hands and it unwashable forever!

Only so much you can knuckle down on dont think anyone is expecting an inflation busting payrise but would settle for about 6%.WASD wrote: ↑05 Aug 2022, 20:04My opinion is everyone has to be knuckling down on their finances very hard. 6% PLUS is a starting point and they can drop the other crap about start times and allowances sick pay and banking hours but if you read the proposal by RM they say it is 5.5% but most of it is a one off bung of £500 pro rata!aiden01 wrote: ↑05 Aug 2022, 23:37Only so much you can knuckle down on dont think anyone is expecting an inflation busting payrise but would settle for about 6%.WASD wrote: ↑05 Aug 2022, 20:04My opinion is everyone has to be knuckling down on their finances very hard. And a £500 bung that will be unachievable at that! Productivity targets? Good luck with that when we can't even clear the f***ing office even just once a week.k979aaa wrote: ↑06 Aug 2022, 00:146% PLUS is a starting point and they can drop the other crap about start times and allowances sick pay and banking hours but if you read the proposal by RM they say it is 5.5% but most of it is a one off bung of £500 pro rata!aiden01 wrote: ↑05 Aug 2022, 23:37Only so much you can knuckle down on dont think anyone is expecting an inflation busting payrise but would settle for about 6%.WASD wrote: ↑05 Aug 2022, 20:04My opinion is everyone has to be knuckling down on their finances very hard. And you do, somehow, manage to hit the target, you'll notice in the small print that they've reserved the right to review the targets on an annual basis.
Which is their way of saying they'd make damn sure you pesky kids didn't qualify for that bonus again.
Sooner or later, a beat dog bites.

Re: UK Recession forecast and 13% inflation
So in reality you think we are better of with a a lack of labour/workers in this nation and nothing to do with BREXIT well then £350 million did not go to the NHS and bullshit Johnson was found out. The fact of the matter is we had a working economy even if it was corrupt at best before the clown took office!SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑06 Aug 2022, 22:42The problem with not enough workers is affecting many industries in many countries, not just the UK

Re: UK Recession forecast and 13% inflation
Oh that’s good then. I remember in 2010 making the odd comment and it was laughed off by most. I personally am finding it really satisfying have more and more people asking me about it in my office as it becomes less deniable.
Wonder what Terry and Dave would say. Surely they know, being in that position. People have got a big shock coming to them if they think Simon’s proposals are bad. Of course I will be fighting them with my colleagues beside me, and I’m a big fan of Terry and Dave, I’m behind them 100%, but I’d love to know if they see the bigger picture. WEF UBI CBDC, most have no idea.

Try lockdowns and money printing. The virus didn't cause this, it was the response to the virus.k979aaa wrote: ↑05 Aug 2022, 23:30Shows how BREXIT and COVID-19 and A WAR in the Ukraine perfect storm but anyone could foresee the labour shortage of foreign workers and the fact that we cannot get workers.
