What's he going to do, that he aint done already? He already is making our jobs suck and wants to make it suck way more than it is now. The blokes a moron that gives no stuff about his work forces well being, he only cares about himself and his precious shareholders. If he comes to my office I will tell him he is running the company into the ground, if he sacks me then great because the way this job is going he'd be doing me a favour tbh.Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑28 Jul 2022, 17:30That's my fear too.
This humiliation and the fact that the CWU has plastered it all over social media will likely only further entrench his position. Going by his Workplace comments he shows classic red flags for a malignant narcissist.
I'm not sure the union knows what it is dealing with in Simon Thomson, backing him into a corner is a dangerous game.

Probably the same as p and o, sack us all then take us back at min wage plus new conditions for those that want it, then not recoginize the union.Iva bigredbag wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 11:04What's he going to do, that he aint done already? Re: Thompson Storms Out. Allegedly.
I'm finding the EVs much better, but I'm on long rurals and used to have to fill up every 5-6 days depending on how often the van was used by collections as well. Charging the EV every day takes less time than filling up with diesel once a week, and I probably charge it every 3.
The real problem with the EVs is that they've bought in 3 different types, with very different controls (Mercedes has flappy panel gears, a key you insert on the right of the steering wheel and a handbrake that you activate with a pedal, Nissans have a "proper" handbrake and gear stick, button start as long as the key is in the van, Peugeots have a small flick switch for the gears where a gearstick would be, a button handbrake and a key you insert on the left of the steering.) All 3 have different ways to access the charging point.
RM did not teach anybody how to charge them, so months in it's still common to get to a van that's plugged in but the charging point hasn't been activated (it takes under 5 seconds to activate by putting the keyring on the charging point.)
