Re: Pay rise
Will apply from 1 September but we will be on strike by then a piss poor imposed deal of 2% for the year and if you tolerate this then your pensions and terms will be next!norris9 wrote: ↑23 Jul 2022, 08:53The 2% Simon has enforced....
I assume we haven't had any of this yet? as the only increase in pay I see on my payslip is due to the changes to National Insurance....
When will we receive back payment and start getting paid the 2% in our weekly pay? or has it already been implemented and someone's screwed up my pay?

Re: Pay rise
Hey Norris.
Chris is correct, we received a £192.38 lump sum on 1st July payslip (week 13) this covers our 2% pay increase for 1st April to 31 August.
I think its been calculated as a best guess figure.
Imagine the time and resources required to process this individually.
2% will be added from September onwards.
I hope this helps ?

Also are we paying less NI as I never heard anything about any changes to the tax code?

I know I should but I never really checkout my tax&NI deductions but how much less are we paying weekly?
£4-£5 less perhaps?

Sorry for all the questions mate but is NI a set rate or does your contribution increase with the amount of weekly overtime you do like tax?

Re: Pay rise
If and it’s hopefully a big if inflation is temporary how likely and achievable is a matching or above inflation pay rise of say 9-10%?
Can’t honestly see the Union achieving a 9-10% pay rise in the same way I can’t see Royal Mail getting through all their proposed changes which will probably see a meeting in the middle settlement/agreement on both sides as usual.

Re: Pay rise
I doubt anybody expects an inflation busting pay rise, one around 5/6% would probably be acceptable, but that's just for this year as there's no signs of inflation dropping by next April.Walter sobchak wrote: ↑24 Jul 2022, 08:29If and it’s hopefully a big if inflation is temporary how likely and achievable is a matching or above inflation pay rise of say 9-10%?

Re: Pay rise
Wouldn’t vote for any payrise which is less than the minimum wage rose in April, 6.6% I believe.
