Let’s be honest, if this goes ahead I’ll personally continue in the job and pick up a wage with the absolute minimum of effort and when they complain I’ll go off on the sick for a jolly and then come back and be even more inefficient

I don’t think it’s 2yearpostie’s choice. At least I hope not.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑21 Jul 2022, 12:35It'll be either the parcel hubs delivering it or you'll have to collect it from the parcel hub. Your choice.2yearpostie wrote: ↑21 Jul 2022, 12:21Delivery dont do collection of mail from hubs thats distributions job.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑21 Jul 2022, 12:05We'll still be cross-docking ALL the size 3 and 4 to the parcel hubs, you'll just have to collect them from the local parcel hub2yearpostie wrote: ↑21 Jul 2022, 11:49Rural routes and buisnesses will not be losing size 3 and 4 parcels, and as my office is a non LAT office that delivers iys own LATS as the LAT office is unable to complete them Id take it all with a pinch of salt.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑21 Jul 2022, 11:21Most of the small parcels are technically large letters so they won't go out on a Saturday. The parcel hubs will be taking all the large parcels and large Tracked, maybe even the smaller Tracked so that'll leave just D2D and SDs, even then only the Saturday Guaranteed SDs need go out. Assuming that the D2D have already been done, you're only going to need about half a dozen staff at most2yearpostie wrote: ↑21 Jul 2022, 11:13No they will still need staff delivering parcels and packets on a Saturday so it wont get divided up at all. Stop scaremongering SP, They may need less staff on a Saturday but it will be put on a rota ,like now.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑21 Jul 2022, 10:38
Once RM get rid of Saturday letters, which is probably going to happen at some point the Saturday hours will get divided up so you'll probably end up finishing later.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

The whole lot of us should adopt this approach. Stop coming in early unpaid. Stop skipping your breaks. Work at a below average pace your whole shift. Take the 4-6 weeks sick per year whilst we still get paid for it.heraldmoth wrote: ↑21 Jul 2022, 21:44Let’s be honest, if this goes ahead I’ll personally continue in the job and pick up a wage with the absolute minimum of effort and when they complain I’ll go off on the sick for a jolly and then come back and be even more inefficient![]()
f**k all these vultures at the top, I would rather see this business burn to the ground than let them get their draconian proposals through so they can pay us a pittance to work like dogs to fund their huge bonuses and dividends.

TEAM - If you work hard enough your CEO can have a new Audi R8 every year and 3 family holidays whereas you can have £500 to help towards your ridiculous gas and electric bill or maybe spend it on a camping trip to Skegness.

They'll break up the company anyway if it suits them, irrespective of whether or not we go on strike. This is a baby throwing their rattle out of the pram situation.

I didn't actually say they would break the company up. I said they would do it IF it suits them.

It suited them to break PF away from RM but if I recall the union threatened to strike and it didn't happen.

I'm not sure they want sell gls they are just threatening to unlink the two maybe it wouldn't matter they are both making profit think its just good old s**t slinging between them and the union.Clappedoutpostie wrote: ↑22 Jul 2022, 19:20A one off lump some from a rival for GLS, then we’ll they would return even more money to shareholders and no doubt bonuses for themselves.
