Re: When is it changing?
Is there a site you can log in to to change investment fund and see how much you've contributed? Thought I had found the site but they weren't letting me register.

If you're in the RMPP and paying AVC's into Flexiplan or Bonusplan or are in the RMDCP, you can use the SW Money 4 Life website to view your balance and make changes. https://money4life.scottishwidows.co.uk/employee/kazardaimenu wrote: ↑13 Jul 2022, 18:17Is there a site you can log in to to change investment fund and see how much you've contributed? You should have been sent your login details, but if not, you can contact either the RMPP or RMDCP for details.

Thanks, I've only just started paying in so they might send me those details soon.RobertT wrote: ↑13 Jul 2022, 18:40If you're in the RMPP and paying AVC's into Flexiplan or Bonusplan or are in the RMDCP, you can use the SW Money 4 Life website to view your balance and make changes. https://money4life.scottishwidows.co.uk/employee/kazardaimenu wrote: ↑13 Jul 2022, 18:17Is there a site you can log in to to change investment fund and see how much you've contributed? Re: When is it changing?
Out of curiosity - are these charges broadly similar/less/more expensive than similar funds with other companiesRobertT wrote: ↑15 May 2022, 11:06Some of the AVC charges actually went up in 2019 as part of the transfer from Zurich to Scottish Widows, along with changes to some of the underlying funds. We had one of those A4 booklets about it at the time.heapsy wrote: ↑15 May 2022, 09:48I currently invest in the Growth, Balanced and Cautious funds and they all charge 0.3%. It was renegotiated downwards by RM a while back. The Sahria fund I believe it more costly, but I I can't tell you how much. Not sure about the others.RobertT wrote: ↑15 May 2022, 07:04To be honest I'm struggling to find accurate charges for all of the AVC funds, but I don't think any of them are as high as 1.92%. I thought the highest was around 0.6%?
Can I ask where you're getting your info from?
EDIT: charges are available in the 'guide to AVC's' : https://www.royalmailpensionplan.co.uk/ ... sp_1_0.pdf
My info from the AVC guide and that 2019 booklet suggests the following current and previous charges in percentage terms:
Balanced – 0.631% up from 0.33%.
Cautious – 0.508% up from 0.33%.
Growth – 0.552% up from 0.33%.
Cash – 0.272%
Ethical Global Equity – 0.362%
Sharia – 0.560%
A large employer should be able to drive down fees
I get the feeling that it will be SW again when the new CDC AVCs begin - start off cheaper then ramp the fees up in time.
I would like to see Vanguard as the provider with their lifestrategy funds - as an example or HSBC Blackrock etc etc

Re: When is it changing?
The Life strategy funds are around 0.22 from memory and some of the Fidelity funds are under 0.1 so these are certainly higher than you could get on the open market so they should be able to charge less.Hyrrokkin wrote: ↑14 Jul 2022, 17:17Out of curiosity - are these charges broadly similar/less/more expensive than similar funds with other companiesRobertT wrote: ↑15 May 2022, 11:06Some of the AVC charges actually went up in 2019 as part of the transfer from Zurich to Scottish Widows, along with changes to some of the underlying funds. Re: When is it changing?
You have to remember that dealing platforms charge for holding your investments, unlike SW. The advantage the others have, unless they are the companies own platform, is that they offer a greater range of investments.
