Anyone know likely dates if we go strike?
I just think a tuesday would be not be a very effective day, not exactly one of the busier days, may as well not bother if tuesdays were chosen, just my opinion.
Think its quite hard in this day in age to go on strike, lot of people living week to week with cost of living crisis, bills through the roof, only way round it would be to work your day off, so you don't lose any money.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I think whatever day/days it will fall on, I reckon it won't be until OCT/NOV/DEC. As I believe the ballot stays 'live' for 6 months?

If people are worried about losing a days pay if we strike then just work your day off for a couple of weeks and don't spend it in the meantime, simple.

are you for real ? , nobody can afford to strike and also cant afford to lose money either , but we will lose a dam site more than money and life style will go out the window if they get there way so it has to be s**t or bust , and imo we should all go out like the mangers are then that would totally shaft them as nothing will get done .fallenworld2022 wrote: ↑12 Jul 2022, 15:23Anyone know likely dates if we go strike?

I don't think it matters if the strike day is a quiet Tuesday a busy Wednesday, or maybe even a Saturday, the objective is to hit RM by possibly upsetting the lucrative parcel sending customers that they've invested loads to get on board which may cause them to take their business elsewhere.

By the sounds of it they are trying to eradicate overtime with Annualised hours are you a new starter if you are you should be at the front of the queue for striking as your getting shafted just for being new.

look the company has just give you a 2% pay increase as though every thing is rosy and yet with no agreement with the cwu and even worse no agreement with the staff , so use that as a payment to your strike fund , but i still dont agree to these 1 day strike , and still all out until s**t or bust .

Of course there is a loss of pay if you strike just if you do ot then that makes up the shortfall. also have'nt seen anyone on here saying they don't live week to week. maybe some people want to fight that little bit harder for a better deal than others willing to give in meekly so are prepared to take a harder line.fallenworld2022 wrote: ↑12 Jul 2022, 19:29good advice frankieboy, will just work my day off so theres no loss of pay, think some others on here should think themselves lucky they don't have to live week to week

Ballot closes on 19th July
August 2nd COULD be earliest possible strike date if CWU gave two weeks notice straight away.
There will be orchestrated action using delivery , processing, distribution so action would take place on different days.
Royal Mail will highly likely spend a fortune trying to get ballot overturned but August is the battleground for rolling strike action
It will be a hot hot summer
