thats been around for ages mate.

They output of consultation should start coming out next week. There is a special PEC meeting next Thurs to go through all Branches contributions. I Hope every branch has submitted something to the debate rather than just sitting back!

Lets look forward to good news then ,cos according to official statistics the economy is still growing. So fridays statement might be " due to the robust performance of the UK economy we are pleased to announce enhanced benefits for all RM pension stakeholders

Wake me up before y' go go.

RMs original statement will stand - the financial implications of doing nothing for RM is a non starter. The Union hasn't made a stance over any of the issues raised so far and I don't expect the situation to change. Consultation means just that, for RM there doesn't have to be agreement - a statement saying that although the consultation has thrown up some interesting issues - the old pension will be wound up, the new pension will be installed, the retiring age will be 65, you will lose money.
