this letter is very serious stuff irishstaff have you not reported the terrorists to the police.that would be the best thing to do then you can get back to running your branch again.how can billy hayes let them be involved .just a thought but you should give their names to royal mail as well .how can people like this be allowed to work with decent people .they should be locked up.saw a thing in the news the other day about police catching some guy who was using the web to promote terrorism ,so they probably read sites like this .i am sure that they will contact you if they do but you should not wait for that .contact them yourself .you owe it to your colleagues and the union.good luck

The term "players" is terrible term to use. They were terrorists short and simple.

letter from hq today of u r in the NI No1 branch

Post by The Wee Man »

I've just read these postings, and I have to say, forgive my ignorance, surely all the terrorists in NI have been stood down. If this is the case, then how would you still have terrorists around any table. Are they not the past. Sorry, but I'm just going by what I read in the newspapers and see and hear on the tv. Can someone enlighten me on this situation. Irishstaff seems to know a lot about it. :hmmmm

Terrorists stood down only means that they aren't shooting the police anymore :confused anyway I don't think anybody really knows what's going on, people have been accused of collecting expenses whenever others where out on strike other accusations include have union meetings in staunch republican/loyalist bars in Belfast but even I don't know what the truth is :confused

BTW any of the dealings I've had with Pat O'Hara have been good and he's helped us quite a lot (yes, there is a drink problem but as long as it doesn't affect his work then I've no problem).

coylejohn,i think your post is bang out of order, this guy irishstaff seems to be taking a stand against terrorists within his branch, although by not informing the police he may not be going about it the right way.to criticise someone because they cannot write or spell as well as yourself ,is not on.

i still cannot believe that our hq would allow these people to be active within a branch .

Listen guys this is a very emotive subject and one that this being widely debated in NI and at CWU HQ...........Despite the 'hot' nature of the topic we must remember the site rules etc because there are people just lurking and waiting to use the law to close this site down.

The NI branch has a fighting fund i understand and anyone can contribute to that if they like. I don't think putting letters from the GS on here is the best way of winning your point. At the end of the day NI members are saying one thing and CWU HQ are saying another. It makes for a real clash but i'm sure if everyone tried their best we could still maintain an element of Dignity and respect................ and help to protect the site for ALL MEMBERS

You are missing my point mate. We can debate Northern Ireland, Pay Deals, National agreement or anything without attacking people. Thats all i'm saying. On your north south comment - I cant fathom that one out

Thanks for the post lovejoy.

A lot has been said since this 1st came on here, names have been mentioned and accusations thrown about.
In all fairness some of the stuff posted shouldn't of been allowed to stay on and that's my fault.
Although i have now deleted some threads.
This is serious stuff, for the branch,HQ AND the site.

For legal reasons we have to be carefull what is on this site,RM and the CWU HQ are on here as well.
Plus the NI guys are taking legal action, and if the CWU legal boys get hold of some of the stuff posted (which they probably already have) then it's not going to help your cause.

You're more than welcome to give us updates the latest info and like lovejoy says debate it all,but name calling ,accuactions and serious slagging off is going to get us all in trouble.

Save it for your day in court.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

irishstaff, you seem to be very emotional in your post,so i would take it that you are also genuine in what you say,but I cannot understand that if you believe you have terrorists working within your Branch that you have not given their names to the police or HQ and let them report these people .I suppose you would also need to be careful but I dont see how you can go on about these people and not do anything ,its no use telling us on this site that they are there ,you need to do something to remove them. You also need to be careful that others do not see you as trying to vilify people and not having any evidence to back up your claims.
