Every time Posties have been on strike these parasites have been in pumping in the overtime and working in the SD Locker where we had to lock our tea and biscuits to stop them nicking them

If you're referring to my comment, Clash, I meant that taking a day sick could be an alternative to any quandary over crossing a picket line...as we wouldn't get paid for not crossing and just going home.
In the example given by PP50 they were going to trigger a stage 3 by not crossing the picket line.
This is palpable nonsense.

Then why would someone on a stage 2 about to trigger a RTU phone in sick to avoid crossing a picket line?
Lose your job or lose a days pay? Difficult choice there ......
Agree, although I was thinking more of people who are not on any stage whatsoever.

Will CWU members be advised by the CWU to not cross the managers picket line?

I doubt the managers will respect our picket.

There will never be any Royal Mail managers on a picket line.

Exactly.
Why are people get their knickers in a twist over something that won't happen.

No manager is stupid enough to basically paint a huge target on their back by picketing their own office and then try to convince other managers who may end up having input into their career progression not to cross a picket line?

If they do strike which is highly unlikely they will simply stay at home.
They are after all mostly gutless.

There has always been a fear amongst managers of speaking up against their bosses. I've seen managers moved out of the area whenever they have dared to even question anything they are told to do, including issuing warnings and cutting staff overtime. They definitely won't be piping up during a time of such massive uncertainty to managerial roles.
There is a small amount of managers involved, each unit has no safety in numbers. Can you really see one or two managers standing on the gates of their own offices with a UNITE banner?

Most of them have got really big guts.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

CMA = Cannot Manage Anything
Unite = As long as I get a better bonus than tom dick and harry
Strike = Off to the golf course earlier than usual
Working to rule = I don't work I just rule!

Just wondering how exactly is a manager going to work to rule? Apart from not answering his phone after a certain time.whats going to be different ours is always bit late then gone by the time we finish.
