Wow. £192 isn’t £200.
Then after deductions I’m only getting £130ish more than a normal week. Thank you RM. That’s not even going to cover half a months electric in the winter.

Why is the lump sum non pensionable if its arrears of normal pay??
It's not arrears of normal pay. It's a gesture from the business to help us out until they can calculate the arrears correctly.
I believe the payrise will come into effect in September so your actual wage will not increase until then.
When the correct amount of arrears is calculated this will be pensionable. They will pay your arrears in full and redeem the lump sum.

Arfing at gesture, the bloody generous buggers, not. Technicalities aside, its arrears of pay no matter how you want to dress it up.

I was simply trying to explain why the lump sum isn't pensionable

Could of waited one week and the threshold of the NIC's would have risen from £9880 to £12570 so do you now think we are being shafted?

Is anyone else not believing this ‘the back pay calculations will take 3 months’ bull? I disagree completely with an imposed pay settlement, but as long as I’ve been in RM, they’ve never once deviated from implementing the increase to basic pay, allowances etc in the first week and then all the arrears the week after. Why isn’t it possible this time around ?? :no no
