Is the returned amount enough for a valid stike? 64% seems hella low.and 22 spoiled this is managment and they can't tick a box properly??
Turnout must be 50% or more for it to be valid, so yes it's valid.

Spoiling your ballot paper is a legitimate means of voting.
What do you do if you want to vote but aren't presented with an option you like?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Managers on Workplace, if you're on there it's, funny as f**k...

OPG
If managers go on strike who will do all the work!!! Oh wait that’s right the same people who already do it the OPG’S

Mervyn Ewing Parcelforce collections screw
very disappointing comment to a sister trade union who are also balloting on issues linked to pay and conditions … and just to clear something up … if all managers go on strike ..no one will do the work , because no one can come on site if there isn’t a Pic on site …but I’m sure you already knew that

Amersham DO COM
silly comment from a trade union member ... Google Solidarity and Google definition of a union ... Blimey :left:

Mervyn Ewing Parcelforce collections screw
So what happens if you are correct and no PiC is contactable due to IA? :left: I’m not being facetious …. Merely asking genuine questions
in the absence of a PiC on site ,or one off site … :funneh due to IA … then the site can’t function surely ? :left: ..but I’m sure you knew that

Sidmouth DO COM
the CWU would cross a picket line? Isn’t that against CWU process?

Parcelforce postie
I find it highly amusing that mangers have voted to stike but yet we’ve had snide comments every time we’ve had a gate meeting over our dispute and pay deal.
As Simon would say “ feeling curious”

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Sad fact is, if we supported the CMA through their period of industrial action, a few weeks later, when we were taking ours, where would be the support from them? Anyone who believes that the managers would support us is deluded.

So according to them the site can’t operate without them. So that means they should be there until the last postie has finished their duty?

NOW they are preaching about solidarity hahaha what a joke. I’ve lost count of the amount of times managers have crossed our picket lines, waving at us doing so.

As a rep for 15 years plus, I’ve come across some dreadful managers both nationally and locally who as individuals and as a whole have been spiteful towards us members particularly when we have been in a dispute.🤬🤬🤬

Despite all that I’ve said above I’m glad the CMA have got a yes vote, I support any group of workers trying to improve their improve their T&Cs.

wonder how many will s.c.a.b.
The manager ballot was only to those in the "affected population" in deliveries so any manager who takes IA that didn't get a ballot paper will have no legal protections.

Wonder if they'll send out all the substantive managers from MCs and RDCs to cover the striking managers in DOs (probably 1 per DO) and then we'll have acting managers on the strike days in MCs and RDCs

We should all support the managers in this in my opinion. They are workers standing up for their rights against fat cat bosses, like us.

That doesn't mean we have to support them when they try to screw us over at work of course.
