Even our DOM laughed at it!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

219 hours out of an office with 34 rounds, which claim o/t virtually everyday (some cut-offs). Problem we have is the new DIM was a postman previously in our office........the union rep has never been as busy with issues.
The new Dim apparently to get the job, told the staff that he was getting 130 hrs invested in the office. To make all rounds achievable with new deliveries, so the staff fell for this + gave him a good have your say result in the survey.
after he got the job he said no investment only 219 savings !!!!!!

Typical Royal Mail management pay lip service to union involvement then try to stuff us with unreal targets. Seems that divisional reps in our area sing from the same songsheet as the managers?

How long before the tossers at the top :lfo and :cfo get it into their thick heads that we are not a bunch of lazy bastards that don't give a s**t about our jobs. And that it is impossible to pour a quart into a pint pot no matter how much you believe or are told you can. Do your jobs properly, cut off and don't take up overtime to cover rounds and give the problem to the middle manager lackies.

It might encourage the twats to develop a back bone and stand up for themselves and consequently for the staff that do the hard yards for them.
